What would Jesus have done for the rest of his life if Pontius Pilate had freed him & he didn't get crucified?

Since Jesus believed that his own death would lead to everyone else getting Salvation, would he have gone around telling people, "Welll... it looks like I didn't get martyred for your souls after all. So, you're all gonna go to Hell and I pretty much can't help you anymore at this point. Sucks."?
