Can Congress dictate what the American people need to buy and make it mandatory under the Commerce Clause?

Now that the Fed Courts of Appeal has ruled that under the Commerce Clause people have to buy Health Insurance, is there any checks to Congresses power to dictate what we can and cannot buy?
