Linguistics - Help understanding Relative and Noun complement clauses?

I think I understand the differences between the two, sort of, but I'm having trouble understanding what sentence has a gap in it and what doesn't. Not entirely sure if that makes sense at all. Just any advice on the differences between the two will help. Also anything on gaps in clauses will also help.
